About the role

LEC STEEL MANUFACTURING CORP. is seeking a talented and ambitious Management Trainee to join our dynamic team in Quezon City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position designed to develop the next generation of business and operational leaders within our organisation. As a Management Trainee, you will gain comprehensive exposure to various functions across the company, working alongside experienced managers to develop the skills and knowledge necessary for a successful career in general management and business operations. This role is integral to our succession planning strategy and offers a clear pathway to supervisory and management positions within the steel manufacturing sector.

What you'll be doing

• Assist in the day-to-day operations of assigned departments, gaining hands-on experience across manufacturing, sales, finance, and supply chain functions
• Support senior managers in implementing operational processes and identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements
• Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives designed to develop your understanding of the business
• Collect, analyse and present data to support management decision-making and strategic planning
• Conduct research on industry trends, market conditions and competitive landscape relevant to the steel manufacturing sector
• Assist in training and mentoring junior staff members while developing your own leadership capabilities
• Contribute to the development and implementation of company policies and standard operating procedures
• Support the management team in achieving departmental targets and key performance indicators
• Attend relevant industry conferences, seminars and training programmes to enhance your professional knowledge

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or a related discipline from a recognised institution
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to think strategically
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to present information clearly to various audiences
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment whilst also taking initiative independently
• A genuine interest in the manufacturing or industrial sector and a commitment to developing a career in general management
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Willingness to learn and adapt quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Preferred: Previous internship experience in a manufacturing, operations or management setting
• Preferred: Knowledge of or experience with the steel manufacturing industry
