MANAGEMENT TRAINEE - Nutritional Strategy & Retail Operations

Program Overview

We are looking to hire 5 highly motivated individuals to join our Management Trainee program. The Management Trainee Program is a 12 to 18-month accelerated leadership track designed to bridge scientific nutritional knowledge with commercial retail management.

Trainees will rotate across four core operational pillars—learning how to run physical stores, manage inventory and multi-channel sales, expand and fine tune our product focus and offering, and deliver impactful nutritional advise.

Key Responsibilities

1. Nutrition Consultation & Community Health

• Provide evidence-based nutrition guidance tailored to customers' health goals and dietary needs.
• Recommend suitable healthy food products and functional nutrition solutions.
• Conduct staff product education to improve nutrition knowledge and customer service.
• Support health screenings, nutrition workshops, wellness campaigns, and community outreach programs.

2. Digital Health & Nutrition Communication

• Create evidence-based nutrition content for social media, websites, and educational campaigns.
• Develop recipe ideas, healthy eating guides, shelf-talkers, and product education materials.
• Assist in managing e-commerce product information, nutrition descriptions, and promotional campaigns.
• Improve website content and customer experience to encourage healthier purchasing decisions.

3. Healthy Product Curation & Innovation

• Evaluate new products for ingredient quality, nutritional value, health claims, and regulatory compliance.
• Research emerging nutrition trends and identify innovative healthy food opportunities.
• Benchmark competitor products and recommend improvements to product selection.
• Curate seasonal health-focused product bundles and nutrition solutions for different health concerns.

4. Store Operations & Commercial Excellence

• Learn daily retail operations including store leadership, inventory management, and customer experience.
• Monitor inventory using FEFO (First Expired, First Out) to reduce food waste and maintain product quality.
• Support merchandising strategies that make healthier choices easier for customers.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree/ Diploma in Dietetics, Nutrition, Pharmacy, Business, Marketing or Food Science & Nutrition.

• Experience: Fresh graduates or candidates with less than 1 year of full-time work experience.

• Skillset & Mindset:

  • Commercial & Operational Curiosity: Eager to learn store mechanics, e-commerce, sales data, and supply chain flow.
  • Strong Science Foundation: Ability to evaluate nutritional claims, read labels critically, and simplify dietary advice for everyday consumers.
  • Problem-Solver: Comfortable balancing shift-based retail environments with office-based analytical projects.

• Language Proficiency: Strong command of spoken and written English. Fluency in an additional Chinese dialect is an added advantage for store floor engagement and vendor communications.
