Management Trainee (OI)

About the role

Responsible to support Product Engineer to drive yield improvements within the product development and NPI phase for new optical components.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Product Engineer for all product engineering activities which will support the product yield/quality improvement
• Work cross-functionally with multiple groups including Design, Product Engineering, Process Integration, Process Development, Modeling, Failure Analysis and Quality teams to drive first pass yield improvement on new products, identify and resolve issues
• Review customer drawings & specification together with Product Engineer for new product release
• Assist Product Engineer to establish bill of material list in order to ensure on time availability, quality & cost based on new product scheduling as well as consumption per unit
• Close collaboration with cross-functional team to coordinate transfer or initiate conceptual design to production phase
• Understand the product development process and related procedure to support project milestones from technical and manufacturing standpoint
• Establish & maintain all product related documentation list

About you

• Knowledge in the field of product, process or test engineering
• Knowledge and interest in optical components
• Proficiency with data analysis, DOE, and statistical techniques
• Problem solving methods
• Excellent communication, organizational, and team building skills
• Target driven personality with high execution focus
• Experience in the field of yield engineering, process integration, product engineering within the semiconductor or optical industry is an advantage
• BSc/MSc Degree in Mechatronics / Electronic Engineering / Photonics / Physics / Optics
