About the role

MID LOGISTICS SDN. BHD. is seeking a talented and ambitious Management Trainee to join our growing team in Johor Bahru, Johor. This is a full-time position designed to develop the next generation of leaders within our organisation. As a Management Trainee, you will gain comprehensive exposure to various departments and operational functions across our manufacturing, transport and logistics operations. This role is pivotal in building your foundational knowledge and understanding of how our business operates, whilst preparing you for future management responsibilities within our company.

Key responsibilities

During your training programme, you will be responsible for:

• Supporting day-to-day operations across multiple departments, including logistics coordination, transport management, and warehouse operations
• Assisting with the implementation of standard operating procedures and best practices across the organisation
• Gathering and analysing operational data to identify trends and areas for process improvement
• Supporting senior management in the development and execution of strategic initiatives
• Participating in cross-functional projects to gain exposure to different aspects of the business
• Assisting with staff training, mentoring and supervision under guidance from experienced managers
• Contributing to the maintenance of health, safety and quality standards across all operational areas
• Supporting the coordination of transport and logistics operations to ensure timely and efficient service delivery
• Assisting with administrative and reporting tasks to support management decision-making
• Identifying and escalating operational challenges and suggesting solutions to management

What we're looking for

To be successful in this Management Trainee role, you should possess the following:

• A recognised degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to think critically about operational challenges
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• A proactive and self-motivated approach to learning and professional development
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the organisation
• Demonstrated leadership potential and the willingness to take on responsibility
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic operational environment
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality
• Preferably, some experience in manufacturing, logistics or transport operations through internships or previous roles
