JOB DESCRIPTIONS:

Financial Reporting & Accounting

• Handling full set of accounts and ensure accurate financial records.
• Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Preparing quarterly and yearly financial statements.
• To ensure timely closing of accounts.
• To provide financial reports to Management and Directors.

Project Accounting

• Monitoring project costing and development expenditure.
• To track progress billing and revenue recognition.
• Liaising with Project and Contract teams on project budget and cost.
• Ensuring proper allocation of project costs.
• To monitor construction and development expenses.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Overseeing payment to contractors, consultants, and suppliers.
• To monitor purchasers’ collections and progress billing.
• Ensuring timely payment processing and documentation.
• To follow up on outstanding payments and aging.

Compliance & Statutory Matters

• Ensuring compliance with MFRS and Companies Act.
• Liaising with external auditors, tax agents, and authorities.
• To handle audit, tax, and SST matters.
• Ensuring statutory submissions are completed on time.

Budgeting & Financial Planning

• Preparing  annual budget and financial forecast.
• To monitor budget performance and cost control.
• Providing financial analysis and recommendations.
• Supporting management in financial planning.

Banking & Financing

• Liaising with banks on project financing and loan matters.
• To monitor loan drawdown and repayment.
• Preparing bank reports and financial documents.
• To manage company cash flow.

Team Management & Internal Control

• Supervise accounts team
• Ensuring proper accounting procedures and internal control.
• To improve accounting processes and systems.
• To maintain proper financial documentation.

Other Duties

• Preparing ad-hoc reports when required.
• To perform any relevant duties assigned by CFO & Management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Possess minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance OR equivalent. Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA ,MIA , etc.) is an added advantage
• Candidates with relevant experience in the Property Development / Real Estate industry will be preferred.
• Experience in financial accounting with minimum 7 years , (minimum 4 years’ experience in property development sector) – well-experience with costing of development projects; residential, commercial & industrial development accounts requirements
• Well-developed numeric, oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial reports and provide meaningful information to management
• Well-versed in Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards(MFRS) and Malaysia statutory requirements and Malaysian statutory requirements
• Analytical, self-motivated, high integrity and ability to work independently
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Excel, MS Word – familiarity with IFCA systems desirable, is an added advantage

Normal Working Days:
Five (5) days per week

Schedule:
Monday to Friday

Working Hours:
8:30 AM to 5:30 PM

Public Holidays:
Observed in accordance with the annually gazetted public holidays for Johor State.
