Manager, AI/ML Engineering

For our client, we are seeking a Manager, AI/ML Engineering to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space.

This leader will guide a high-performing team focused on advancing machine learning capabilities that support clinical and operational outcomes in a healthcare environment. The role will balance technical leadership, people development, and cross-functional partnership to move AI/ML initiatives from research into production. This is a hands-on management opportunity with meaningful influence over team culture, delivery quality, and the evolution of deployed ML systems.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $161,000 – $221,500 annually

Responsibilities

• Facilitate technical growth through regular performance management and career planning
• Drive quarterly planning for AI/ML initiatives aligning with business objectives
• Establish an inclusive engineering culture with a focus on mentorship and standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate clinical needs into production-ready models
• Oversee the evolution of ML systems from research to deployed microservices
• Provide architectural guidance to enhance team impact and technical reach

Qualifications

• Proven experience in engineering management for high-performing ML/AI teams
• Strong ability to develop technical talent and build a collaborative culture
• Experience balancing long-term strategy with day-to-day leadership
• Deep expertise in machine learning systems and technologies
• Mastery of the ML SDLC and cloud-native solutions
• Strong communication skills to influence across diverse teams
