Manager - before & afterschool service

WrapAroundCare4u has an outstanding reputation for the provision of quality before and after school care in Buckinghamshire and Berkshire. The company has 13 settings and over 60 staff and our culture focuses on having fun whilst working hard to deliver outstanding quality. We provide robust training as well as support in gaining further qualifications.

The role involves leading a small team of individuals to deliver excellent quality wraparound childcare to children aged 4 to 11 at Cookham Dean CE Primary School. The role includes ensuring the smooth running of the provision within a clearly defined framework and involves, but is not limited to:

• Playing and interacting with the children indoors and outdoors.
• Communicating with the children and enhancing their language skills.
• Delivering our purposeful play plan and adding additional activities based on the children’s interests.
• Managing the purchasing/preparation and serving of breakfast and afternoon tea.
• Listening to the children read and supporting them completing their homework.
• Ensuring the rooms are clean and tidy at the start and end of the session.
• Building postive relationships with Children, Parents & Guardians.
• Undertaking handovers with parents in the mornings and evenings.
• Liaising with the school leadership team to ensure consistent approaches are adopted for all children.
• Managing registers and team deployment.
• Weekly reporting to company management on the effectiveness of the provision - both written and in person.
• Conduct regular staff appraisals to review perfromance, identify development needs and support ongoing professional growth.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare as well as experience.

Notes:

· Additional hours may be available at one of our holiday clubs.

· Driving licence preferred.

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Hours: 07:30-09:00 and 14:30-18:30 (with the possibility of 3 additional hours during the day) Monday - Friday Term Time, plus additional admin cover in the school holidays.

Pay: Up to £29,000.00 per year
