Manager (Building Services and Project)

About the Position:

We are looking for a Building Services and Project Manager with a strong engineering background; experience in E&M (Electrical and Mechanical) systems for food factories is a definite advantage. The successful candidate will lead cross-functional projects including production automation upgrades, production line redesign, and building renovation, with end-to-end accountability for quality, timeline, and budget management.

Job Description:

• Manage all routine and planned repair and maintenance (R&M) for factory building services systems. Lead technical teams to deliver operations, maintenance and project work in an efficient, reliable, and safe manner, ensuring all work meets required quality and compliance standards.
• Proactively communicate with cross-functional teams to identify improvement initiatives that enhance production quality and operational efficiency, aligned with corporate strategic development goals.
• Facilitate transparent, open communication with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective project coordination and on-time delivery.
• Participate in end-to-end sourcing, evaluation, and selection of qualified suppliers and contractors.
• Develop detailed project plans, milestones schedules, and progress reports to track project delivery and proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and issues.
• Manage and align all project resources, including manpower, equipment, and budget, to deliver projects on scope and on schedule.
• Provide technical guidance and support to project team members and end-users, resolving any challenges that arise during project execution and handover.
• Assist in developing and drafting standard operating best practices and protocols, and ensure all works comply with relevant building codes, statutory regulations, and industry safety standards.
• Cultivate a team culture of accountability, collaborative problem-solving, and continuous improvement.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Building Services / Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on, well-rounded project management experience in a manufacturing or industrial facility environment.
• Previous experience in food manufacturing or plant management is a strong advantage.
• A proven track record of delivering successful capital projects, with specific experience in production automation projects preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proven leadership ability, excellent communication skills, and a proactive, self-driven working attitude.
• In-depth knowledge of equipment safety standards and relevant industry regulations.
• Proficient in standard project management methodologies and tools, and technical software including AutoCAD, Quick View, and the full Microsoft Office suite.
• Good command of both written and verbal communication in English and Mandarin.
• Business travel is required.
