Manager- CFO Services

• We are looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant to join as Manager, responsible for reviewing the work of our accounting and compliance team, and providing technical guidance across Income Tax, GST, Payroll, Company Law, and FEMA matters. This is a client-facing, review-and-mentor role suited to a CA who enjoys building process discipline in a growing team while staying hands-on with technical compliance work for startups, SMEs, and established businesses.

Key Responsibilities

Review & Quality Control

• Review the work prepared by the team of ~8 (B.Com/M.Com) executives Accounting, tax computations, GST returns, TDS returns, payroll registers, and reconciliations before client/authority submission
• Establish and enforce checklists, SOPs, and review protocols to reduce errors and rework
• Sign off on deliverables and escalate high-risk or ambiguous matters to Partners

Technical Guidance & Advisory

• Guide the team on Income Tax matters — return filings, TDS/TCS, assessments, notices, advance tax, and tax planning
• Guide the team on GST matters — return filing (GSTR-1/3B/9), reconciliations (2A/2B), refunds, notices, and departmental correspondence
• Oversee payroll processing compliance — PF, ESI, PT, TDS on salaries, and labour law aspects
• Advise on Company Law/ROC compliance — annual filings, board resolutions, statutory registers, incorporation, and LLP compliance
• Support FEMA/ODI matters — cross-border transactions, foreign remittances, ODI/FDI filings, and related RBI compliance (or coordinate with the specialist team on complex cases)

Client & Team Management

• Act as a point of escalation for client queries requiring technical judgment
• Mentor and train junior team members (B.Com/M.Com staff) on technical concepts and quality standards
• Track deadlines and compliance calendars across clients to ensure zero-delay filings
• Liaise with tax/GST/ROC authorities on notices, assessments, and departmental matters as required

Candidate Requirements

• Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) — qualified and currently holding a valid membership with ICAI
• Experience: 3–5 years post-qualification, preferably in a CA firm handling multi-client compliance (industry experience considered if breadth across Tax/GST/Company Law is strong)
• Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of Income Tax Act, GST law, Companies Act/LLP Act compliance, payroll statutory compliance, and at least working familiarity with FEMA/ODI provisions
• Team Handling: Demonstrated experience reviewing/supervising a team's output, not just doing individual technical work
• Software: Comfortable with Tally, Zoho Books, GST portal, income tax e-filing portal, MCA portal, and MS Excel; exposure to practice management tools is a plus
• Soft Skills: Strong communication for client interaction, ability to explain technical matters simply to junior staff, ownership mindset, and comfort working to compliance deadlines
