About the Role
We are looking for a highly organized, proactive, and people-oriented Production Operations Manager to help manage the day-to-day operations of our growing production company.
This person will act as the key communication link between the company’s owners/executive team and employees, ensuring that tasks are clearly assigned, schedules are organized, deadlines are met, and everyone knows what they are responsible for.
The ideal candidate is someone who naturally takes charge, is extremely organized, communicates confidently, and doesn't need to be constantly told what to do. You will be responsible for keeping the team accountable and making sure projects continue moving forward.
Key Responsibilities
Team & Employee Management
- Act as the primary point of communication between ownership and employees
- Communicate priorities, assignments, deadlines, and updates to the team
- Assign and delegate tasks to employees
- Follow up with team members to ensure tasks are completed on time
- Monitor employee workload and help prioritize competing deadlines
- Identify issues or delays and bring them to management's attention
- Help create a positive, productive, and accountable work environment
- Be the point of contact for employees when there is an issue they are facing or dealing with at work
Scheduling & Organization
- Manage and maintain company schedules
- Help coordinate meetings, calls, filming days, and other company activities
- Organize weekly priorities and production timelines
- Ensure everyone is aware of upcoming deadlines and commitments
Operations
- Oversee the company's day-to-day workflow
- Create systems and processes that make the company more organized and efficient
- Track projects from assignment through completion
- Handle day-to-day operational issues before escalating them to the owners
What We're Looking For
- Experience in operations, management, project coordination, production, or a similar role
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Comfortable delegating tasks and holding people accountable
- Proactive and able to identify what needs to be done without being asked
- Extremely reliable and detail-oriented
- Be the person that employees can lean on when they have issues
- Great communication skills
- Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Able to work independently and make good day-to-day decisions
- Experience working in a creative, media, entertainment, or production environment is an asset
You will not be expected to make major creative or business decisions. Instead, your job is to make sure that the decisions made by the owners actually get executed.
Hours & Compensation
Part-Time: 20–25 hours per week
Compensation: $25–$35/hour, depending on experience
There may be opportunities for additional hours during busy production periods and potential for the role to grow into a full-time position as the company continues to expand.
