Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Manager to lead our downtown sushi restaurant with enthusiasm and strategic vision. In this role, you will oversee daily store activities, manage a diverse team, and ensure exceptional customer service. Your leadership will drive sales growth, maintain operational excellence, and foster a positive shopping environment. The ideal candidate is energetic, highly organized, and possesses strong management skills to motivate staff and optimize store performance.

Duties

• Lead and supervise FOH staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating team members to ensure high performance and engagement
• Oversee daily store operations such as inventory management, supply management, pricing strategies, and stock replenishment to maximize sales opportunities
• Manage payroll, bookkeeping, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) systems to ensure accurate financial transactions and record-keeping
• Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets while maintaining excellent customer service standards
• Conduct employee orientation sessions, interviewing candidates for open positions, and facilitate ongoing training & development initiatives
• Monitor inventory control processes, manage purchasing decisions, and oversee stock levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, foodsafe handling policies, and operational procedures while fostering a welcoming environment for customers and staff

Qualifications

• Proven management experience in hospitality or similar customer-focused environments with supervisory responsibilities
• Strong skills in negotiation, team management, and managerial communication
• Experience in food and beverage sales management including pricing, and inventory control
• Proficiency with POS systems, payroll software, bookkeeping tools, and basic math skills for financial accuracy
• Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases effectively
• Demonstrated leadership in training & development programs with excellent organizational skills
• Ability to handle cash handling procedures accurately and perform simple math confidently
• Excellent communication skills with phone etiquette expertise and the ability to motivate teams toward shared goals
• Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience in the hospitality industry is highly desirable

Pay: $5,000.00 - $6,000.00 per month
