Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Manager to lead our retail team and oversee daily store operations. This role is vital in driving sales, ensuring excellent customer service, managing inventory, and fostering a positive team environment. Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise retail staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluations to promote a high-performing team.
• Oversee daily store operations, ensuring smooth functioning of sales processes, inventory management, and customer service standards.
• Manage sales goals and develop strategies to increase revenue while maintaining operational efficiency.
• Handle employee scheduling, shift management, and payroll processing to ensure adequate coverage and operational consistency.
• Maintain inventory control through stock monitoring, merchandising, pricing accuracy, and stock replenishment.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and cash handling procedures.
• Utilize POS systems for sales transactions, returns, and reporting; oversee cashiering activities to guarantee accuracy.
• Foster a welcoming environment by delivering exceptional customer service and resolving escalated issues promptly.
• Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, provide training on product knowledge, sales techniques, and operational procedures.
• Support administrative tasks such as bookkeeping, budgeting, and record keeping to maintain store financial health.

Qualifications

• Proven management experience within the retail industry with a focus on sales team leadership and operational oversight.
• Strong skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and training & development.
• Demonstrated proficiency in inventory management, POS systems (Point of Sale), cash handling, and bookkeeping.
• Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for diverse customer engagement.
• Experience with retail math including pricing strategies, sales analysis, budgeting, and basic financial calculations.
• Supervising experience with retail store product knowledge is essential; grocery store experience is a plus.
• Ability to manage time effectively across shift management duties while maintaining organizational skills.
• Knowledge of operational management practices such as merchandising, stocking, inventory control, and customer service standards.
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work environment.

Pay: $7.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 per week
