Manager

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Manager to lead our retail team and oversee daily store operations. This vital role involves managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth through effective team management and operational excellence. Duties

• Lead and supervise retail staff, including hiring, training, and developing team members to achieve high performance levels.
• Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS system management.
• Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, merchandising, and pricing strategies to maximize sales opportunities.
• Implement effective sales techniques through coaching on customer service, product knowledge, and upselling methods.
• Coordinate purchasing activities, manage payroll processing, and ensure accurate bookkeeping and financial record-keeping.
• Conduct employee orientation sessions, facilitate ongoing training & development programs, and promote a positive work environment.
• Utilize strong communication skills to manage shift scheduling, supervise cashiering activities, and ensure compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Proven management experience within the retail industry with a focus on sales team leadership and operational oversight.
• Demonstrated proficiency in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing candidates, and recruiting top talent.
• Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
• Experience with POS systems, inventory management software, and basic math skills for retail math calculations.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of grocery store operations or wireless sales is a plus; familiarity with merchandising and stock management is essential.
• Excellent communication skills for managerial communication, training staff, and customer interactions.
• Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience in retail settings is preferred; familiarity with payroll processing and bookkeeping is advantageous.

Pay: $29.11 - $35.06 per hour
