About the Role

Are you passionate about upholding the integrity of clinical research? Woodlands Health is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Research Monitor to join our Office of Research Development and Scholarships. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring that our clinical research studies are conducted to the highest standards of compliance, quality, and patient safety.

What You Will Do

As our institutional Research Monitor, you will lead risk-based monitoring strategies across our portfolio of clinical research studies, ensuring adherence to protocols, regulatory requirements, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines. Your key responsibilities will include:

Monitoring & Quality Assurance

Conducting routine monitoring visits — from site initiation through to close-out — you will perform source data verification, safeguard participant rights and welfare, and ensure the traceability of investigational products. You will write monitoring reports, issue follow-up actions, and develop corrective and preventive action (CAPA) plans to address non-compliances. You will also develop educational materials and workshops to build monitoring capability across the institution.

Regulatory Affairs

You will provide regulatory advice and manage timely submissions for both regulated and non-regulated research studies, including Clinical Trials Authorisation (CTA), Clinical Trials Notification (CTN), and Clinical Trials Certificate (CTC). You will also prepare study teams for external regulatory inspections and sponsor audits.

Compliance & Research Culture

You will champion a culture of quality research conduct by training researchers on ethical guidelines, institutional policies, and regulatory requirements. Staying current with local regulations, you will advise management on regulatory changes and their implications, and lead initiatives that promote and strengthen research compliance across the institution.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone with a minimum bachelor's degree, preferably in Life Sciences, and at least 2 to 5 years of experience in clinical research monitoring (e.g. as a CRA), regulatory compliance, or quality assurance. Experience in a healthcare setting is an advantage, and senior coordinators with relevant audit and inspection experience are welcome to apply.

You should have a strong working knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines and local regulations, and be someone who communicates clearly, works well across teams, and thrives in a dynamic environment.
