Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced, hospitality-driven Restaurant Manager to lead our Front of House team and help deliver an exceptional upscale-casual dining experience.

The ideal candidate for Bahia Waterfront Grill is a confident and hands-on leader who understands that great hospitality starts with a strong team. This person will be responsible for maintaining high service standards, developing team members, managing daily operations, and creating an environment where both guests and employees feel valued.

The Restaurant Manager should bring a professional presence, strong business instincts, and a genuine passion for hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Hospitality

Lead by example in delivering warm, polished, and genuine hospitality.

Maintain consistently high standards for guest service, food presentation, cleanliness, and overall restaurant experience.

Be highly visible and engaged on the floor during service.

Build relationships with regular guests and create memorable dining experiences.

Address guest concerns quickly, professionally, and with sound judgment.

Ensure the restaurant consistently delivers the level of service expected of an upscale-casual concept.

Team Leadership & Development

Recruit, train, coach, and develop FOH team members.

Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable to service and performance standards.

Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate daily priorities, specials, and operational updates.

Provide ongoing coaching and constructive feedback.

Recognize strong performance and create a positive, team-oriented culture.

Help develop future leaders within the organization.

Manage scheduling and staffing levels to meet business needs.

Restaurant Operations

Oversee daily opening, closing, and service operations.

Maintain appropriate labor levels while protecting the guest experience.

Monitor restaurant flow, ticket times, table turns, reservations, and overall service efficiency.

Ensure proper cash handling, POS procedures, and end-of-day reporting.

Maintain inventory levels and minimize waste, comps, discounts, and unnecessary expenses.

Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, health department, and company standards.

Work closely with the kitchen and leadership team to maintain seamless FOH/BOH communication.

Assist with ordering, inventory management, and other administrative responsibilities as needed.

Leadership & Accountability

Serve as a key leader and culture carrier for the restaurant.

Communicate effectively with ownership and senior management.

Analyze sales, labor, guest feedback, and other operating metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.

Help implement company initiatives, policies, and procedures.

Maintain a professional, organized, and positive work environment.

Step in wherever needed to support the team and the operation.

Qualifications

2+ years of restaurant management experience preferred.

Experience in upscale casual, polished casual, or full-service restaurants strongly preferred.

Proven ability to lead and develop a hospitality team.

Strong understanding of restaurant operations, service standards, labor management, and guest relations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Ability to make confident decisions and remain composed under pressure.

Strong knowledge of POS systems, reservations, cash handling, and restaurant technology.

Food safety certification and alcohol-service certification as required by local regulations.

Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
