Manager – HR-Focused Leadership Role | AAHA Accredited, Fear Free Certified Hospital

Join our privately owned, AAHA Accredited, Fear Free Certified veterinary hospital in Olathe, KS. We’re in a phase of growth and improvement, with a recently remodeled facility designed to support both staff well-being and patient care.

We are seeking a Manager who thrives in a leadership role focused on human resources, team development, training, compliance, and accountability. This is not a client-facing or inventory-based position—your role will be to lead our people and set the tone for our internal culture and operations.

Role Overview:

As our Manager, you will take the lead on HR management, employee relations, training and onboarding, and compliance oversight. You will help ensure that our team is supported, growing, and aligned with our mission of delivering compassionate, Fear Free care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee staff recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and exit processes
• Maintain and enforce employee policies, job descriptions, and protocols
• Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and progressive discipline as needed
• Manage staff scheduling, time off, and coverage to ensure operational flow
• Lead team meetings and create ongoing staff training and CE opportunities
• Promote adherence to OSHA, AAHA, and Fear Free standards
• Collaborate with ownership on team goals, evaluations, and clinic structure
• Foster a positive, respectful, and accountable work culture across all departments
• Address and mediate internal staff concerns with professionalism and confidentiality

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of leadership or HR-related experience in a veterinary or healthcare setting
• Deep understanding of HR practices, employee relations, and compliance (OSHA/HR/AAHA)
• Strong communicator who can deliver both support and accountability
• Detail-oriented with excellent time management and organizational skills
• Calm, professional, and solution-focused in all situations
• Experience creating and implementing protocols and training programs preferred
• Fear Free and/or AAHA experience is a plus, but not required

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
