We are partnering with a high-growth, specialist strategy consultancy focused exclusively on the financial services sector, to identify exceptional talent for its London team. Working with leading insurers, reinsurers, brokers, Lloyd’s market participants, MGAs and private equity investors, the firm delivers high-impact strategic advice across growth strategy, operational transformation, technology and M&A.

The business is looking to connect with ambitious consultants from MBB, the Big Four, Oliver Wyman and other top-tier strategy consultancies , as well as professionals with strong in-house insurance strategy experience , who are looking to deepen their industry expertise and take on greater responsibility.

The Role

This is an opportunity to join a growing, specialist consulting business where you can combine strategic problem-solving with meaningful client exposure and the opportunity to influence the direction of the firm.

Unlike more structured consulting environments, the role offers genuine breadth, autonomy and ownership. You will work closely with senior leadership, lead complex client engagements and contribute to business development and the continued growth of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy & Engagement Delivery: Lead consulting engagements and workstreams, translating complex business challenges into actionable strategic recommendations.
• Client Management: Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives, and support the development of long-term client partnerships.
• Commercial Development: Work alongside Partners on proposals, client development and identifying opportunities to expand existing relationships.
• Team Leadership: Coach and develop junior consultants, ensuring high-quality delivery and a strong team culture.
• Practice Development: Contribute to the firm's growth, developing new perspectives and helping shape its position within the insurance consulting market.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience from MBB (McKinsey, BCG, Bain), the Big Four, Oliver Wyman or another leading strategy consultancy .
• Alternatively, strong experience in an in-house insurance strategy team , ideally within an insurer, reinsurer, broker or another relevant insurance business.
• A track record of delivering strategic projects, with strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience managing client stakeholders and, depending on level, leading teams or workstreams.
• A genuine interest in the insurance sector and the ability to translate complex challenges into practical commercial recommendations.
• An entrepreneurial mindset, with the ambition to take ownership, develop client relationships and contribute to a growing business.
