Manager - Commercial

About the role

The Commercial Manager leads the end-to-end commercial contract lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and executing customer, vendor, and partner agreements. This role establishes and enforces commercial governance frameworks, optimizes business processes, and drives strategic execution across the enterprise to ensure seamless operational implementation and improved margin performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end commercial contract lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and executing customer, vendor, and partner agreements
• Mitigate financial, operational, and legal risks by reviewing contract terms (e.g., SLAs, payment terms, liability limits, indemnities, and termination clauses)
• Oversee contract performance, renewals, price adjustments, and variation requests throughout the contract lifecycle
• Establish and enforce commercial governance frameworks, approval matrices, and delegation of authority (DoA) protocols
• Audit commercial activities and transaction compliance to ensure alignment with internal policies, industry regulations, and statutory requirements
• Map, evaluate, and optimize end-to-end commercial operations
• Drive process simplification and automation across commercial touchpoints to reduce turnaround times and operational friction
• Monitor key operational and commercial metrics, identifying trends to improve margin performance and business efficiency
• Prepare high-level commercial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership and executive committees
• Lead post-signature handovers to Delivery/Operations teams to ensure scope clarity and baseline performance tracking

About you

• Degree in any field (Law, Healthcare, Commercial Management preferred)
• Certification in Lean or Six Sigma or equivalent
• 5+ years of progressive commercial & sales management experience spanning contract negotiation, business process design, and commercial governance
• Proven track record of operating effectively in complex, fast-paced enterprise environments (e.g., Tech, B2B Services, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Energy, or Infrastructure)
• Understanding of commercial contracts, commercial terms, pricing structures, and risk mitigation strategies
• Demonstrated experience design/implementing commercial processes
• Financial acumen with proficiency in evaluating deal profitability, P&L impacts, and margin analysis
• High-impact negotiation skills with a solutions-oriented approach to deal structuring
• Strong stakeholder management abilities—capable of influencing across executive leadership, technical teams, and external clients
• Analytical and structured problem-solver with exceptional attention to detail
