• Previous experience as a CRO contract analyst (3yrs min) or contracts manager (ideally) is very important. This includes costing budgets and drafting contracts.
• Very strong technical competency with CRO costing tools, budgets – developing them and defending them to clients. In time they will be training analysts in e.g. India on the same tool and processes. Important they have client budget experience – we don’t want someone with e.g. site contracts experience. • Client facing – significant experience negotiating with APAC clients – ideally in China on contract documents and budgets – change orders also. It is very important this person is competent and confident enough to deal directly with clients and progress negotiations without support in APAC region.
• Excellent communication skills, clear, calm, confident for internal and external discussions.
• Mature, trustworthy candidate who can handle calls with clients in China in time zone independently.
• Ability to build relationships - working well with key internal stakeholders e.g. ICON sales sales team and operations
