Duties

• Lead and supervise the retail sales team to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service.
• Oversee inventory management, including stock replenishment, merchandising, pricing, and inventory control to maximize profitability.
• Manage store operations efficiently by implementing policies for cash handling, POS system usage, and operational procedures.
• Recruit, interview, train, and develop staff to build a motivated and skilled team aligned with company standards.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, store policies, and health standards while fostering a positive work environment.

Skills

• Strong management skills with proven experience in supervising retail teams within the convenience or hardware industry.
• Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and basic math skills.
• Demonstrated ability in negotiation, purchasing, merchandising, and operational management.
• Experience in employee orientation, training & development, interviewing candidates, and leadership roles such as assistant manager or shift supervisor.
• Knowledge of retail sales techniques including wireless sales, grocery store operations (if applicable), pricing strategies, and marketing fundamentals.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple responsibilities such as stock control, cashiering, customer service, and administrative tasks.
