Role Purpose

The role will be responsible for end-to-end product and manufacturing costing, cost analysis, inventory valuation, budgeting, profitability analysis, and cost-control initiatives for LICO's recycling and manufacturing operations.

The incumbent will work closely with Production, SCM, Stores, Commercial, and Finance teams to establish accurate product costs, identify cost variances, improve margins, and provide actionable financial insights to management.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain product costing and process costing for recycling and manufacturing operations.
• Determine cost per kg/ton for various finished products and recovered materials.
• Calculate raw material, conversion, utility, manpower, consumable, overhead, and processing costs.
• Develop and maintain standard costs, actual costs, and landed costs.
• Analyze standard vs. actual cost variances and identify root causes.
• Monitor raw material consumption, yield, recovery percentage, process loss, scrap, and wastage.
• Conduct profitability analysis by product, customer, process, and business segment.
• Prepare contribution margin, gross margin, and EBITDA-level analysis.
• Support pricing decisions through detailed cost sheets and margin simulations.
• Monitor inventory valuation for Raw Material, WIP, Finished Goods, Scrap, and Consumables.
• Review slow-moving/non-moving inventory and provisions.
• Reconcile inventory records between SAP, Stores, and Finance.
• Work closely with Production and SCM to identify cost-reduction and productivity improvement opportunities.
• Support Make vs. Buy, sourcing, capacity utilization, and investment decisions through financial analysis.
• Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and manufacturing cost plans.
• Perform monthly Budget vs. Actual analysis.
• Prepare monthly costing MIS and management dashboards.
• Support month-end closing and ensure accurate accounting of manufacturing costs.
• Maintain and review costing data and cost centres in SAP.
• Ensure proper allocation of direct and indirect expenses across products and processes.
• Support internal, statutory, and cost audits.
• Develop and strengthen costing SOPs and Internal Financial Controls (IFC).
• Mentor team members and drive accuracy and discipline in costing processes.

Qualifications

• CA / CMA / ICWA / MBA Finance / M.Com with strong manufacturing costing experience. CMA/ICWA would be preferred for a core costing role.
