Manager (Development) - Development and Alumni Office

Reporting to the Senior Manager (Development) in the Development and Alumni Office, the appointee will contribute to fulfilling the outreach and fundraising duties of the University while developing his/her own portfolio. The appointee will handle the fundraising work of the Office. Specifically, he/she will (i) assist the Senior Manager of the team to identify and cultivate prospective donors, develop appropriate options for them, and solicit and manage the donations; (ii) plan and organize stewardship/networking events for donors and prospective donors; and (iii) develop online engagement initiatives to strengthen relationship with broader communities. The appointee will play a key role in fulfilling the team's fundraising targets while simultaneously developing his/her own portfolio to scale results over time.

The ideal candidate should be genuinely interested in people, possess an outgoing personality, and have a passion for personal development. Outstanding communication skills, networking abilities, a proactive attitude, and the drive and enthusiasm to carry out projects to completion are essential.

Applicants should have a recognized bachelor’s degree plus at least 5 years of work experience, preferably in education fundraising, or sales and marketing in the private sector.  Strong interpersonal skills and a high level of proficiency in English and Chinese (including Putonghua) are essential.  (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.  A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
