What we’re looking for

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our Product Engineering team in Bengaluru to lead delivery across mature, revenue-generating software products. Reporting to the Engineering Director, you will manage teams balancing critical sustenance engineering—maintaining platform stability, security, observability, stack upgrades, and incident response—with steady-state new feature development. This role serves as the central engineering anchor and primary cross-functional liaison with Customer Operations, Customer Success, Technical Support Engineering, SecOps, and Infrastructure. If you take pride in operational excellence, reliability engineering, and leveraging modern AI/GenAI tools to drive engineering productivity, this is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-impact results.

What you’ll be working on

• Own end-to-end delivery, agile execution, and sprint planning across products, balancing new feature development with sustenance, stack migrations, and technical debt reduction.
• Act as the primary cross-functional engineering contact for Customer Operations, Customer Success, TSE, SecOps, Platform, and Product teams to align priorities and communicate technical trade-offs.
• Drive technical health, platform uptime, performance, vulnerability patching, dependency updates, and SLA compliance across high-risk code reviews and architecture decisions.
• Oversee production support, triage workflows, incident management, on-call rotations, and root-cause analysis to systematically prevent recurring issues.
• Hire, manage, coach, and retain engineers across multiple product teams, fostering a strong engineering culture and productivity standard.

We’d love to hear from people with

• 10–12 years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in an engineering management role managing production, revenue-generating software across concurrent product lines.
• Track record leading sustenance engineering, infrastructure/framework upgrades, dependency management, legacy system support, production incident management, and on-call operations.
• Strong full-stack technical background across languages such as PHP, Python, Java, Node.js, relational/non-relational databases, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience using AI/GenAI tools (e.g., coding assistants, automated code review, testing) to enhance engineering productivity and drive workflow improvements.
• Proven capability to partner with Product Management to sequence capabilities and navigate competing demands from cross-functional business stakeholders.
