What they need

About SAPinsider

SAPinsider is an independent research and marketing services organization serving the world's largest and most active global community of SAP technology and business professionals, with more than 2 million members. Our community includes professionals who use or are evaluating SAP software, partner solutions, and cloud platforms to advance digital transformation, process automation, and operational excellence.

Through our global conferences, summits, research, and content programs, SAPinsider connects business and technology leaders with the insights, expertise, and solutions they need to address their most important challenges.

The Role

SAPinsider is seeking a results-oriented Manager, Event Attendee Marketing to help grow paid attendee registrations and ticket revenue across our global conferences and summits.

This is a hands-on marketing role focused on turning SAPinsider's extensive professional community into paying event attendees. The successful candidate will execute and optimize integrated email and digital marketing campaigns, improve audience targeting and registration conversion, and use performance data to identify opportunities for growth.

Working closely with senior marketing leadership, the Audience Acquisition sales team, and web and product teams, the manager will help ensure that campaigns reach the right audiences with compelling messages and convert prospects into paid registrations.

The ideal candidate combines strong campaign execution skills with analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a commercial mindset. They understand that successful event marketing is measured not simply by email engagement or leads generated, but by registrations, ticket revenue, and efficient attendee acquisition.

Success in this role will be measured by paid registration performance against targets, campaign execution and accuracy, conversion efficiency, and continuous improvement in marketing performance.

Key Responsibilities

Campaign Execution and Attendee Acquisition

  • Execute integrated email and digital marketing campaigns designed to increase paid registrations and ticket revenue for SAPinsider conferences and summits.
  • Manage multistage promotional campaigns, including event launches, nurture sequences, registration reminders, promotional offers, and final registration pushes.
  • Coordinate paid social, search, retargeting, and partner marketing campaigns, working with internal resources or external agencies as appropriate.
  • Develop targeted campaigns for existing members, past attendees, new prospects, and group-registration opportunities.
  • Tailor messaging to relevant professional audiences, including senior IT, finance, cybersecurity, development, supply chain, and operations leaders.
  • Work with the Audience Acquisition sales team to support follow-up strategies and convert interested prospects into paid attendees.

Email Marketing and Conversion Optimization

  • Build, test, schedule, and deploy email campaigns using marketing automation platforms and established campaign processes.
  • Create and refine campaign copy, subject lines, calls to action, offers, and landing-page messaging to improve engagement and paid-registration conversion.
  • Conduct structured A/B testing and apply campaign insights to improve results throughout each event's promotional cycle.
  • Set up and quality-check campaign assets, including emails, landing pages, forms, tracking links, and promotional codes, to ensure accurate registration and revenue attribution.
  • Collaborate with web and product teams to improve event landing pages, registration flows, checkout experiences, and confirmation pages, reducing friction and supporting higher conversion rates.
  • Monitor campaign performance and recommend adjustments to audience segments, messaging, timing, and channel mix based on results.

Audience Data and Campaign Management

  • Build, segment, clean, and maintain prospect and attendee lists using CRM, marketing automation, third-party data, and approved partner lists.
  • Maintain accurate audience segmentation, suppression lists, campaign records, and data quality standards.
  • Ensure that campaign tracking, promotional codes, and registration data are configured correctly and consistently across channels.
  • Coordinate targeted campaigns to relevant audience segments based on professional role, interests, previous event participation, and engagement.
  • Follow applicable email marketing, privacy, consent, and data-management requirements.

Reporting and Performance Analysis

  • Maintain accurate campaign and registration reporting that tracks paid registrations and ticket revenue by event, channel, campaign, and audience segment.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, including paid registrations, conversion rates, campaign engagement, cost per paid registration where applicable, and performance against event targets.
  • Provide regular campaign performance updates to marketing leadership and the Audience Acquisition sales team, highlighting progress, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
  • Use historical performance and current registration trends to identify opportunities to improve campaign effectiveness and meet event attendance goals.
  • Maintain a reliable reporting process that provides the team with a consistent view of campaign performance and registration results.

Professional Qualifications

  • Two or more years of experience executing digital marketing, demand generation, audience acquisition, or event marketing campaigns, preferably for B2B conferences or professional events.
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to paid registrations, ticket sales, or other measurable conversion and revenue objectives.
  • Hands-on experience with email marketing, audience segmentation, multistep nurture campaigns, and campaign optimization.
  • Working knowledge of marketing automation and CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Marketo, Brevo, Salesforce, or comparable systems.
  • Experience with digital marketing channels such as paid social, search, retargeting, and partner campaigns.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret campaign dashboards, monitor registration trends, evaluate conversion performance, and recommend improvements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling marketing messages for professional audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple campaigns, events, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with marketing, sales, web, and product teams in a results-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience marketing B2B technology events, enterprise software conferences, or professional education programs.
  • Familiarity with SAP solutions, enterprise technology, or senior business and IT audiences.
  • Experience promoting paid conferences, managing group-registration campaigns, or working toward ticket revenue targets.
  • Familiarity with event registration platforms, campaign attribution, landing-page optimization, and conversion reporting.
  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Compensation and Benefits

SAPinsider offers a competitive compensation package designed to reward results and support professional growth.

  • Base salary: $85,000–$100,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Annual target bonus: $12,000–$20,000, based primarily on paid attendee growth and campaign performance, with additional individual performance objectives.

The role is eligible for SAPinsider employee benefits, including:

  • Healthcare coverage
  • Dental coverage
  • Life insurance
  • Unlimited paid time off
  • Flexible spending accounts
  • 401(k) plan
