Manager, Facilities Operations Commissioning

For our client, we are seeking a Manager, Facilities Operations Commissioning to join the team of a leader in the Real Estate & Construction space.

This role will oversee commissioning efforts for critical facilities, with a focus on coordinating teams, improving execution, and supporting high-quality delivery across technical environments.

The position will work closely with project teams and site stakeholders to manage commissioning planning, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement in facilities operations.

It is well suited for an experienced engineering leader who can balance field execution, compliance, and process discipline in complex, high-availability environments.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Manage commissioning teams and help build team capabilities
• Oversee travel budgets and ensure compliance with spending requirements
• Support site construction activities in coordination with project teams
• Revise and maintain comprehensive commissioning plans across multiple system levels
• Track, troubleshoot, and resolve issues identified during commissioning
• Ensure compliance with SOP, MOP, and ERP requirements in critical environments
• Develop metrics, gather feedback, and drive quality improvement initiatives
• Advance innovation in facilities programs with an environmentally responsible approach

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of engineering experience in technical environments
• 10+ years of experience in critical environments such as data centers, nuclear or power, or healthcare preferred
• 5+ years of experience in data center engineering, commissioning, or project management preferred
• 3+ years of supervisory experience overseeing engineering or critical operations preferred
