About the Role

As Freight Forwarding Manager, you'll lead day-to-day operations across our freight forwarding division while driving business growth, operational excellence and team development.

You will:

• Lead and mentor the freight forwarding team, building a culture of accountability, customer service and continuous improvement
• Oversee daily operations across import, export and customs functions
• Design and implement processes, SOPs and performance measures that drive consistency and efficiency across the function
• Identify and act on opportunities to boost productivity, service delivery and profitability
• Strengthen relationships with customers, carriers, overseas agents and suppliers
• Support business development activity and contribute to growth initiatives
• Ensure compliance with company policy, industry regulation and customer requirements
• Monitor operational performance, customer satisfaction and financial outcomes
• Champion continuous improvement projects and support technology adoption across the business

About You

You're an experienced freight forwarding or supply chain professional with a specialisation in domestic mining, refining and logistics — someone who understands the unique pace and demands of resource-sector supply chains.

You'll bring:

• Extensive experience in freight forwarding, international logistics or supply chain operations, ideally within mining, refining or resources-related industries
• Previous leadership and people management experience
• Strong operational knowledge across air freight, sea freight and customs processes
• A track record of improving processes and driving operational efficiencies
• Strong commercial acumen and customer relationship management skills
• The drive to build, motivate and hold teams accountable
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — you build trust and rapport across all types of stakeholders, from frontline crews to executive customers
• A genuine go-getter mindset: hands-on, resourceful, and quick to solve problems rather than wait for direction
