About the role

We are seeking a Manager General Affair & Cost Control to join our team in Surabaya, East Java on a full-time basis. This is a strategic management position that plays a crucial role in overseeing the general affairs operations, controlling costs, and managing assets across the organisation. The successful candidate will report to Senior Management and will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, cost optimisation, and proper assets management whilst maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role requires a proactive leader who can drive continuous improvement and contribute to the company's overall profitability and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage general affairs operations, including administrative functions, facilities management, and office services
• Develop and implement cost control strategies to reduce operational expenses without compromising service quality
• Monitor and analyse departmental budgets, ensuring expenditures remain within approved limits and identifying opportunities for cost savings
• Manage and maintain the company's assets, including equipment, vehicles, and office infrastructure, ensuring proper maintenance and utilisation
• Implement asset tracking systems and conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy of asset records and prevent loss or misuse
• Prepare financial reports and cost analyses for management review, highlighting variances and recommending corrective actions
• Liaise with vendors and service providers to ensure quality service delivery and achieve cost-effective solutions
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations in all general affairs and asset management activities
• Lead and supervise the general affairs team, providing guidance, and performance feedback to ensure high standards of service delivery
• Collaborate with other departments to support their operational needs whilst maintaining cost discipline

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a related field

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in general affairs management, cost control, asset management, or a similar operational management role

• Proven track record of successfully implementing cost reduction initiatives and achieving measurable savings

• Strong proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and cost management

• Experience in asset management systems and inventory control

• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

• Strong leadership and team management capabilities

• Proficient in Microsoft Office

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organisation

• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial and operational records

• Experience in the logistics or supply chain industry is preferred
