JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for providing hands-on, operational HR leadership at the Operation Centre level. The role focuses on employee relations, union engagement, grievance handling, workforce discipline, and compliance, while supporting productivity, morale, and industrial harmony in a manufacturing environment. The position requires an independent, seasoned HR practitioner with strong interpersonal skills, sound judgement, and the ability to balance people needs with operational realities.

MAIN DUTIES:

1) HR Operations & Compliance

• Manage daily HR operations (attendance, leave, overtime, discipline, and documentation), ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies, enforce workplace standards with management, and support audits and regulatory inspections.

2) Recruitment and On-boarding of new hires

• Handle end-to-end recruitment for non-executive and executive roles, manage onboarding processes, and support sourcing and screening of qualified candidates for interviews.

3) Employee Relations

• Serve as the main contact for employee relations, ensure compliance with collective agreements and labor laws, and manage disciplinary cases for unionized employees in line with best practices.

4) Payroll, Compensation and Benefit

• Oversee payroll to ensure timely and accurate payment, manage employee compensation and benefits, and coordinate HR systems (e.g., e-services, leave, attendance, access, and HR portal) for smooth operations.

5) Training & Development

• Manage and implement training and development programs, and maintain training documentation in compliance with ISO, IMS, and QMS requirements.

6) Performance Appraisal/Performance Management System (KPI)

• Ensure all employees’ annual performance appraisals are completed and submitted on time.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Qualifications – at least Degree in Human Resource Management or similar discipline
• Minimum 8-12 years of hands-on experience, working in a manufacturing/ industrial environment will be advantage
• Preferably experienced in handling Unionized workforce.
• Competency across the full range of human resource functions that is Industrial relations, training and development, manpower planning, recruitment, etc.
