M/S GLOVE CONSTRUCTION is looking for experienced and capable professionals for the position of Manager (Import & Sourcing). The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in international and local sourcing, import operations, supplier management, cost optimization, and market operations, particularly in food commodities and edible oils. Key Responsibilities

• Source new products based on the demands of the Bangladesh market and implement cost-effective sourcing strategies.
• Identify, evaluate, and maintain strong relationships with reliable local and international suppliers.
• Negotiate competitive prices, payment terms, and supply contracts.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify sourcing opportunities and reduce costs.
• Process purchase orders, monitor inventory, and coordinate supply requirements.
• Prepare, review, and verify import documents, including Letters of Credit (LCs) and Bills of Lading.
• Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Customs, NBR, BSTI, and applicable international trade regulations.
• Manage LC operations, including opening, amendments, and payments.
• Coordinate with banks, C&F agents, shipping lines, and ports to ensure smooth customs clearance and timely delivery.
• Manage import VAT, customs duties, and other applicable government charges.
• Collaborate with production, finance, and sales teams to ensure efficient operations.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, product quality, and costs.
• Analyze data, prepare reports, and provide strategic recommendations to management.
• Independently manage product sourcing, negotiation, import activities, and market operations.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

Educational Requirements

• Graduation or Post-Graduation from a reputed university.
• A Postgraduate Diploma in Supply Chain Management or Marketing will be preferred.

Experience Requirements

• 5–10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in sourcing and importing food commodities, particularly:
• Red Lentils
• Sugar
• Sunflower Oil
• Olive Oil
• Canola Oil
• Coffee
• Other food items

Requirements

• Experience: 5 to 10 years
• Education: Graduation or Post-Graduation from a reputed university., A Postgraduate Diploma in Supply Chain Management or Marketing will be preferred.
• Skills: Import Operations, Sourcing, Supply chain management, Procurement, Supplier Relationship Management, Negotiation, International trade, Letter of Credit (LC), Customs Clearance, Import Documentation
