IT ManagerPosition Summary

The IT Manager is responsible for managing, maintaining, and improving the school's complete IT infrastructure and technology operations. The role ensures reliable IT services, secure network and systems, effective technical support, and smooth operation of technology used across academic and administrative departments.

The IT Manager will lead the IT Support Team, manage IT infrastructure and vendors, troubleshoot critical technical issues, and ensure that all IT systems remain secure, stable, and available with minimum disruption.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the IT Support Team and assign daily technical tasks and responsibilities.
• Manage and maintain the complete IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi, racks, and related equipment.
• Configure and manage Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches, VLANs, network ports, and related network infrastructure.
• Manage and maintain Fortinet Firewall, including security policies, access control, VPN, internet policies, and network security.
• Manage and maintain physical and virtual servers, including system health, storage, user access, services, backups, and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with ISPs and internet service providers for connectivity, bandwidth, downtime, complaints, upgrades, and technical issues.
• Manage IT racks, including rack organization, patch panels, switches, cable management, power arrangements, and equipment labeling.
• Monitor network and internet performance and ensure maximum uptime across all school sections.
• Apply knowledge of CCNA and MCSA-level technologies for network and system administration.
• Manage and maintain the school's ERP/School Management System, including user accounts, access, basic troubleshooting, data-related issues, and coordination with the software vendor.
• Manage and maintain face recognition attendance machines and coordinate attendance-related technical issues with the relevant software/vendor teams.
• Manage and maintain the school's IP Phone/VoIP system, including extensions, user configuration, call routing, and troubleshooting.
• Establish proper IT asset lifecycle, stock management, issuance, return, replacement, and disposal procedures.
• Provide technical support for auditorium sessions, meetings, presentations, examinations, and school events, ensuring all required IT and AV systems are operational.
• Manage and support basic sound system requirements for school events and auditorium sessions.
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs, maintenance, warranties, software, networking, internet, and other IT services.
• Maintain IT documentation, network information, equipment records, configurations, and technical procedures.
• Plan and implement IT infrastructure upgrades, replacements, and improvement projects.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, network administration, system administration, or IT support management.
• CCNA and MCSA knowledge/certification preferred.
• Strong practical knowledge of Fortinet Firewall.
• Excellent knowledge of servers and server administration.
• Strong knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 switch configuration.
• Strong knowledge of LAN, WAN, VLANs, Wi-Fi, IP addressing, and network troubleshooting.
• Experience with school ERP/School Management Systems is preferred.
