About the role

This is a strategic senior management position responsible for managing and optimizing the financial function of a pawn shop/pegadaian company. The role ensures financial health, liquidity, cost efficiency, profitability, funding management, and regulatory compliance are operating optimally. The ideal candidate is a leader with strong financial analysis capabilities, understanding of pawn shop business characteristics, and ability to translate financial data into business strategy and recommendations for management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all Finance & Accounting activities of the company
• Develop and control financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, and financial projections
• Manage and ensure adequate liquidity to support operational needs and loan disbursement
• Monitor outstanding loans, service income/returns, funding costs, operational expenses, and profitability
• Analyze asset quality developments and loan portfolio, including potential credit risks and financing quality deterioration
• Monitor financial health indicators such as cash ratio, current ratio, profitability rate, cost efficiency, and other financial indicators
• Develop analysis and recommendations to increase revenue, operational efficiency, and company profitability
• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Ensure financial reports and management reports are presented accurately, timely, and accountably
• Manage and monitor company funding needs, including planning of funding sources and uses

About you

• Minimum S1 degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or related field
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Finance & Accounting, with at least 3 years in Manager/Senior Manager position
• Experience in pawn shop industry, financing companies, multifinance, banking, fintech, or financial services is a major advantage
• Experience in managing cash flow, budgeting, financial reporting, financial analysis, and financial planning
• Understanding of company liquidity and funding management
• Understanding of financial health analysis and indicators such as cash ratio, current ratio, profit margin, ROA/ROE, and asset quality
• Understanding of risk management principles and internal controls
• Experience leading and developing teams
• Able to conduct in-depth financial data analysis and produce applicable recommendations
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP software
