Manager, Landscape Maintenance

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager of Landscape Maintenance to lead our outdoor groundskeeping and landscaping teams. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee comprehensive landscape maintenance operations, ensuring the highest standards of lawn care, plant health, hardscaping, and irrigation management. Duties

• Lead and supervise landscape maintenance crews to execute daily tasks including mowing, pruning, planting, fertilizing, and pest control with precision and efficiency.
• Oversee hardscaping construction projects such as pathways, patios, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures from planning through completion.
• Manage irrigation systems—installing, repairing, and maintaining sprinklers and drip systems to ensure optimal water distribution across landscapes.
• Conduct plant identification assessments to determine health status and recommend appropriate horticultural practices for diverse plant species.
• Operate grounds maintenance equipment safely and effectively, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and company vehicles for transportation between sites.
• Develop maintenance schedules that prioritize safety, quality standards, and environmental sustainability while minimizing disruptions to property use.
• Monitor team performance through coaching and training initiatives focused on landscaping techniques, equipment operation, safety protocols, and customer service excellence.

Requirements

• Proven experience in landscape maintenance or groundskeeping with strong knowledge of lawn care, horticulture, and landscaping principles.
• Supervising or team management experience leading crews in outdoor work environments.
• Expertise in hardscaping construction projects along with skills in irrigation system installation and troubleshooting.
• Ability to identify various plants accurately and recommend appropriate care strategies for healthy growth.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams while maintaining high safety standards.
• Familiarity with grounds maintenance equipment operation including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and irrigation tools.
• Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles safely in outdoor settings.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
• Outdoor work experience that emphasizes physical stamina and attention to detail in diverse weather conditions.
