Manager, Linux & Unix Infrastructure Services

For our client, we are seeking a Manager, Linux & Unix Infrastructure Services to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will lead day-to-day delivery and support for enterprise Linux, Unix, and middleware services across critical production environments. The manager will drive operational stability, service quality, and rapid incident response while partnering closely with stakeholders to ensure reliable service delivery. This position also plays a key role in improving processes, managing platform risk, and guiding infrastructure lifecycle planning for the organization.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $120,000 – $145,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery and support of Linux, Unix, and middleware services
• Ensure operational excellence through SLAs and KPIs
• Oversee 24x7 support and rapid service restoration
• Drive continuous service improvement initiatives
• Manage infrastructure risks and platform lifecycle planning
• Mentor a multidisciplinary team in relevant technologies
• Coordinate resource allocation and workload prioritization

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 8+ years supporting enterprise Linux and Unix environments
• 5+ years managing technical infrastructure teams
• Strong experience in RHEL, Oracle Linux, IBM AIX, and KVM virtualization
• Experience managing large-scale production environments for critical applications
• Understanding of ITIL-based processes
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
