What they need
Bluefin is working exclusively with a global firm to appoint a 2+ PQE M&A Lawyer to join its growing corporate legal team.
This is an excellent opportunity, with the majority of the work focused on private M&A, including founder-led businesses selling to private equity firms. As a global business, the firm also attracts a diverse international client base, offering exposure to a broad range of sophisticated transactions.
You'll work directly with highly experienced Partners from leading international law firm backgrounds, gaining hands-on involvement in transactions from start to finish as well as early responsibility and exposure.
The team is collaborative and supportive, with a strong focus on mentoring and developing junior lawyers. There are also opportunities for international mobility and secondments through the firm's global network.
We've placed an Associate, Senior Associate and Director into this team and have had the opportunity to see how the move has worked in practice. The feedback has been consistently strong: interesting and sophisticated work, excellent people, broader commercial exposure and materially better work-life balance.
The work
Across the Partners, the team advises on mid-market and larger private M&A transactions, including international and multinational deals, buy-side transactions and founder-led businesses selling to private equity. The practice also extends into corporate reorganisations and restructures, private client and family trust work, fund formation and financial services licensing and advisory.
What are we looking for?
Ideally, you’ll be around 2 years PQE, although there is flexibility either side for the right person.
You might be coming from:
- A top-tier, mid-tier or highly regarded boutique corporate practice
- An M&A, corporate or broader transactional practice
- An in-house legal role where you’ve retained strong corporate or transactional experience
Your experience could include:
- M&A transactions, including acquisitions and disposals
- Drafting and negotiating transaction documents
- Due diligence and transaction management
- Corporate restructures and reorganisations
- General corporate and commercial advisory
- Working directly with clients and senior stakeholders
Other offers great for you!
