- Oversight of HVAC design, including central plant, air handling, terminal unit, and Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems, with coordination of associated power and control requirements.
- Oversight of hydronic, domestic water, sanitary (DWV), fuel gas, and fire protection design, including load, energy, and hydraulic calculations, with coordination of associated electrical, fire alarm, and low-voltage work by the firm’s electrical staff and consultants.
- Preparation and review of technical specifications, including maintenance of the Department’s mechanical and plumbing master specification sections.
- Preparation and review of construction cost estimates and quantity take-offs supporting public bidding and procurement.
- Administration of construction phase services, including submittal and shop drawing review, RFI responses, field observation, and contractor payment requisitions.
- Serving as a primary point of contact for clients and agencies, including project progress and coordination meetings.
- Preparation of proposals and fee estimates, and support of business development for MEP services.
- Coordination with the firm's in-house Architects and Engineers, as well as subconsultants, utility companies, and regulatory agencies.
