Manager - Motor Operation

About the role

China Ping An Insurance (Hong Kong) Co Ltd is seeking a Manager - Motor Operation to join our dynamic team in Ngau Tau Kok, Kwun Tong District. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in overseeing the operational management of our motor insurance team. As Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient, compliant and customer-focused motor insurance operations whilst driving continuous improvement and strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily motor insurance operations, including policy issuance and customer service delivery
• Manage and mentor the motor operations team, ensuring high performance standards and professional development
• Develop and implement operational procedures and best practices to enhance efficiency and quality
• Monitor operational metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
• Liaise with other departments including claims and underwriting to facilitate seamless operations
• Handle escalated customer issues and resolve operational challenges promptly
• Prepare regular reports and provide analysis on motor operations performance
• Contribute to the development of strategies to enhance motor insurance product offerings and market competitiveness

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in insurance operations management, preferably in motor insurance

• Proven track record of successfully managing operational teams and driving performance improvements

• Knowledge of vehicle and/or motor insurance products, underwriting principles and claims processes

• Excellent understanding of insurance regulations and compliance requirements in Hong Kong

• Demonstrated ability to analyse operational data and implement data-driven solutions

• Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal

• Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail and organisational skills

• Degree in a related discipline, or equivalent professional qualification
