Roles and Responsibilities Strategy & Leadership  Develop and execute the country ocean freight strategy in alignment with regional and global objectives.  Provide strong leadership, coaching, and direction to the ocean freight management team and staff.  Drive innovation, digital adoption, and sustainable solutions in line with company priorities. Business Development & Growth  Grow market share and revenue by developing new business opportunities and strengthening existing customer relationships (customer retention).  Partner with the sales and key account management teams to deliver customized ocean freight solutions.  Identify, evaluate, and prioritize trade-lane and vertical-specific opportunities. Operations & Service Delivery  Ensure operational excellence across all ocean freight import/export, LCL/FCL, and special cargo services.  Implement standard processes and best practices to achieve efficiency and service quality.  Monitor KPI measurement, drive continuous improvement programs to reduce cost and increase productivity. Carrier & Vendor Management  Build and manage strategic relationships with ocean carriers, and other service providers.  Negotiate space agreements, service contracts, and procurement strategies to secure competitive and reliable capacity.  Monitor carrier performance and ensure alignment with company procurement strategy. Financial Management  Full P&L responsibility for the ocean freight product.  Develop budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement corrective actions where needed.  Ensure margin protection through pricing discipline, procurement excellence, and cost optimization. Compliance & Risk Management  Ensure adherence to all regulatory, customs, and trade compliance requirements.  Maintain highest standards of health, safety, security, and environmental compliance.  Implement risk management strategies to safeguard company operations and reputation. People & Culture  Build a high-performing and engaged team through effective talent acquisition, retention, and development.  Promote a collaborative, customer-centric, and performance-driven culture.  Provide clear career development paths and succession planning for key roles. II. Education and Experience

 Degree in freight forwarding, international business administration, logistics or relevant discipline.  Min 10 years of professional and solid experience in Ocean Freight.  Minimum 5 years team managing experience or in leading departments in a similar sized international freight forwarding company.  Strong knowledge of procedures for international forwarding services.  Business development skills and background is preferred.
