Role: Manager of Construction Operations (Solar)

Location: New York or Vermont

Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000

Renewyx is representing a well-established and growing commercial, industrial and distributed generation solar developer and independent power producer in the Northeast. Their portfolio is expanding, and they are building out the construction function to keep pace.

They are seeking an experienced solar construction leader to run and scale their construction organization. You will own delivery across a growing pipeline of C&I and DG projects. That means setting up the processes, standards and reporting that let the team build more, build well and stay on schedule and budget. You will work closely with development, finance and senior leadership, so you will be the person who connects what happens in the field to what the business needs to know.

Hands-on solar construction experience is a firm requirement for this role. The team needs a leader who has built projects and earned credibility with crews, contractors and subcontractors. If your background does not include direct solar construction, this role is unlikely to be the right fit.

The ideal candidate should have the following:

• Strong hands-on solar construction experience, ideally across C&I and distributed generation projects
• A track record of leading construction teams, contractors and subcontractors through full project delivery
• Experience building or improving processes, systems and reporting in a growing construction organization
• Confidence managing schedules, budgets and risk across multiple concurrent projects
• Working knowledge of contract administration, procurement and subcontractor management
• Comfort working with development, finance and executive stakeholders, and translating field reality for each
• A process-oriented, ownership mindset and a collaborative leadership style
• Willingness to be based in New York or Vermont, with a few office days every 5 to 6 weeks and monthly site travel to western and upstate New York
