What they need

The Manager of Education translates TCA’s education strategy into consistent, high-quality program delivery, learner experience, operational systems, and measurable results. This role leads day-to-day execution for TCA education programs, the learning management system, credential pathways, webinars, online learning resources, learner communications, reporting, and education-related support services.

Working closely with the Director of Education & Training, the Manager of Education turns TCA Education priorities into organized workflows, reliable delivery, and a strong learner experience.

Key Responsibilities

Education Operations and Program Delivery

  • Manage day-to-day operations for TCA education programs, including sponsored webinars, leadership programs, safety education, virtual workshops, on-demand education, and other professional development offerings, by coordinating speaker logistics, registration support, participant communications, program administration, and post-program follow-up.
  • Lead instructional design, authoring, and content conversion for TCA education offerings in collaboration with subject matter experts, including course content, learning resources, online education materials, meeting session presentations, and micro-learning that support clear, engaging, and outcomes-based learning.

Learning Management System, Pathways, and Credentials

  • Administer and optimize TCA’s learning management system to improve learner experience, support learning pathways, automate credential and certificate processes, and strengthen reporting capabilities.
  • Maintain TCA’s education content library, course catalog, learner records, learning pathways, certificate records, and related education resources in a consistent, easy-to-navigate structure.
  • Support the design, launch, and implementation of learner journeys and certificate pathways, including leadership and safety pathways, and future education credentials.
  • Manage CEU tracking, credential records, certificate delivery, learner progress monitoring, renewal reminders, and related reporting so continuing education processes are accurate, timely, easy to navigate, and aligned with TCA’s education goals.

Reporting, Measurement, and Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain dashboards and reporting systems that track enrollment, completion rates, revenue, sponsorships, engagement, learner satisfaction, learning outcomes, membership impact, and program effectiveness.
  • Use learner feedback, participation data, completion data, and satisfaction results to recommend improvements to courses, pathways, communications, and program operations.
  • Maintain organized procedures, timelines, communication workflows, and program documentation to support consistent delivery of current and future education offerings.

Member Engagement, Marketing, and Communications

  • Serve as a primary support resource for learners, participants, speakers, and members by providing clear program instructions, reminders, pathway guidance, certificate updates, and follow-up resources.
  • Collaborate with membership, marketing, and communications staff to promote TCA education offerings, communicate program value, and support member engagement.
  • Develop or support promotional content for education programs, including program descriptions, success stories, testimonials, and other materials that demonstrate member value.
  • Support TCA education web pages, learning management system communications, and other member-facing education communications to attract engagement and participation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience managing education programs, professional development programs, association learning initiatives, training operations, or related member-facing programs.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple programs, deadlines, speakers, communications, and learner support needs simultaneously.
  • Experience with learning management systems, online learning platforms, webinar platforms, or education technology.
  • Experience with instructional design, course authoring, and developing clear, engaging, outcomes-based education content for adult learners.
  • Ability to create and maintain clear workflows, dashboards, reports, learner communications, and process documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-service mindset and the ability to support members, learners, speakers, sponsors, and internal staff.
  • Comfort working with data, including enrollment, completion, satisfaction, revenue, engagement, and credentialing reports.
  • Ability to support course development, learning pathways, content organization, certificate programs, and continuing education tracking.
  • Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to maintain a high-quality learner experience across live, virtual, and on-demand education programs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in an association, nonprofit, education, professional development, trucking, transportation, or member-service environment.
  • Familiarity with continuing education units, certificate programs, credentialing processes, or professional learning pathways.
  • Experience supporting webinars, conferences, meetings, learning communities, or online education programs.
  • Experience using online course authoring tools, such as Articulate, to build engaging and accessible online education content.
  • Experience using reporting dashboards, CRM systems, LMS analytics, or member engagement data to improve program performance.
  • Interest in adult learning, workforce development, leadership development, safety education, benchmarking, or professional training.
