Manager Operations

a B2B Destination Management Company (DMC) and Ground Handling Operator, is looking for an experienced, responsible, and customer-focused Operations Manager to join our team in Siliguri.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily tour operations, coordinating with hotels and transport vendors, handling guest requirements, and ensuring smooth execution of travel services.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Tour Operations Management: Manage day-to-day travel operations, tour arrangements, itineraries, transfers, sightseeing, and hotel bookings.
• Vendor Management: Coordinate with hotels, resorts, transport operators, drivers, local tour operators, and other suppliers to ensure quality service and competitive rates.
• Guest Handling: Manage guest queries, special requests, complaints, and service-related issues professionally and promptly.
• Booking Coordination: Ensure timely confirmation of hotels, vehicles, sightseeing arrangements, and other travel services.
• Team Coordination: Coordinate with the sales team, reservation team, accounts department, and ground staff to ensure seamless operations.
• On-Trip Support: Monitor ongoing tours, coordinate pickups and drop-offs, and resolve operational challenges during guest travel.
• Quality Control: Ensure service standards, guest satisfaction, and adherence to the agreed itinerary and service commitments.
• Cost & Vendor Control: Monitor operational expenses, negotiate with vendors, maintain cost efficiency, and ensure accurate billing.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain booking records, vendor details, operation sheets, guest feedback, and daily operational reports.
• Problem Solving: Handle last-minute changes, delays, emergencies, and guest concerns efficiently.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in tour operations or the travel and tourism industry is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of hotel bookings, transportation, itineraries, and ground handling.
• Excellent communication, coordination, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage vendors, guests, and multiple tour operations simultaneously.
• Good knowledge of North East India, Sikkim, Darjeeling, and surrounding destinations will be an advantage.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, email communication, and basic computer applications.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain a customer-first approach.
