Manager Outlet F&B Specialist

About the role
PT Surya Tanjung Jaya is seeking an experienced Manager Outlet F&B Specialist to join our dynamic hospitality team. This is a contract position based in Batam, Riau Islands, where you will take on a strategic leadership role overseeing our food and beverage outlet operations. As Manager Outlet F&B Specialist, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence, maximising profitability, and delivering exceptional customer experiences across our F&B establishments. This role is critical to our mission of providing outstanding hospitality services and will require your expertise in outlet management, staff leadership, and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of F&B outlets, ensuring compliance with company standards, health and safety regulations, and quality assurance protocols
• Manage budgeting, cost control, and financial performance of assigned outlets, identifying opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency
• Lead, supervise, and develop F&B staff including chefs, waiters, bartenders and kitchen personnel, fostering a positive and productive work environment
• Plan and implement innovative menu offerings and promotional campaigns to enhance customer experience and drive revenue growth
• Maintain inventory management systems, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure optimal stock levels of food, beverages and supplies
• Monitor food quality, presentation and service standards, conducting regular inspections and implementing corrective actions as needed
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing complaints and feedback promptly and professionally
• Analyse sales performance, customer trends and competitor activity, providing regular reports and strategic recommendations to senior management
• Ensure compliance with licensing requirements, food safety regulations, and all applicable hospitality industry standards
• Coordinate with marketing and events teams to promote outlets and develop special dining experiences

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience managing western cuisine outlets, restaurants, bars, or similar high-volume F&B operations within the hospitality industry
• Proven track record of successfully managing P&L statements, budgets, and financial performance in hospitality operations
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate, train and develop diverse teams
• In-depth knowledge of food safety standards, health regulations, and hospitality best practices
• Excellent customer service orientation with demonstrated ability to handle customer relations and resolve complaints effectively
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Indonesian, with ability to work effectively with staff at all levels
• Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge of F&B cost controls, menu engineering, and pricing strategies
• Flexibility to work varying shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required by outlet operations
• Certification in Food Safety or Hospitality Management is desirable but not essential
