Position : Manager - Procurement & Logistics

Location : Ethiopia

JD:

• Handle complete local purchase cycle starting from Purchase Requisition (PR) to order placement
• and material receipt.
• Source and evaluate suppliers, obtain competitive quotations, and finalize purchase orders
• as per company policy.
• Ensure price competitiveness, quality standards, and on-time delivery of locally procured goods.
• Maintain vendor database and ensure timely renewal of contracts and performance evaluations.
• Liaise closely with stores, production, and accounts for demand planning and purchase forecasting.
• Manage imports from PR to RFQ, quotation comparison, supplier finalization, and Letter of Credit (LC) opening.
• Coordinate with suppliers, shipping lines, and clearing agents for timely shipment and documentation.
• Prepare and verify all import documents (invoice, packing list, BL, COO, etc.) ensuring compliance
• with Ethiopian import regulations.
• Track shipments, manage customs clearance, and ensure timely delivery to plant.
• Maintain accurate records of import data and periodic reports for management review.
• Plan and execute sea, air, and inland logistics for imported and locally procured materials.
• Optimize transport cost and ensure efficient coordination with clearing and forwarding (C&F) agents.
• Ensure smooth flow of materials from suppliers to plant warehouses, maintaining
• visibility through tracking systems.
• Liaise with local authorities, customs, and transporters for clearance, duty payments, and logistics compliance.
