Manager - Production (Packing)

About the role

Ranbaxy (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, a SUN PHARMA company, is seeking a Manager - Production (Packing) to join our manufacturing operations in Sungai Petani, Kedah. As a Manager - Production (Packing) in Production, you will contribute to ensuring efficient operations, maintaining quality standards, and supporting the timely delivery of pharmaceutical products to our customers. Key responsibilities

• Assist Senior Manager 2 and supervise production team to achieve target in production plan with high productivity and adhere to GMP.
• Carry out production operation as per production plan and delivery on time.
• Ensure all operation of production adhere to GMP compliance at primary and secondary packing area.
• Maintain an optimum level of manpower and overtime.
• Monitor activity and productivity in primary and secondary packing area.
• Provide training related to GMP activities.
• Update departmental standard operating procedure (mainly for primary and secondary packing related procedures).
• Monitor the work of subordinates and ensure the necessary assistance is provided to them for their timely, adequate and accurate completion of the assigned work.
• Reduce Primary and secondary packing cycle time and down time.
• Ensure reconciliation of primary and secondary packing material.

About you

• Bachelor's degree or Masters in a related field such as Science related, Manufacturing, or Pharmaceutical studies
• Understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing or production planning processes
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and data management systems
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and follow instructions
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies is advantageous
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment would be beneficial
• Willingness to learn and develop skills in pharmaceutical production operations
