POSITION: MANAGER PPC (PRODUCTION PLANNING & CONTROL)

Qualification: B.E. in Mechanical Engineering

Experience: 12 to 18 years in Production Planning & Control in a Heavy Engineering /Manufacturing industry. (Heavy Fabrication, Machining and Castings & Forgings)

Key Responsibilities:

• Release the production schedule based on the PPC rolling plan for the manufacturing of turbines on receipt of specifications from the design team
• Prepare budget estimations for the manufacturing of turbines
• Plan the production for the manufacturing of turbine and turbine components in coordination with the production manager
• Coordinate with the design team for the timely release of drawings and bill of material (BOM) for turbine manufacturing
• Issue purchase requests and work orders on the receipt of the turbine and turbine components drawings
• Coordinate with project managers for budget distribution for turbine components
• Prepare production shop capacity plan in coordination with production manager and initiate necessary action required for outsourcing of machining and turbine assembly
• Track the progress of the manufacturing of turbine components
• Provide inputs for the weekly machine production scheduling
• Monitor and control stores and inventory activities and manage distribution of inventory
• Prepare the packing list of turbine components for the final dispatch to site in coordination with production team and QA team
• Organize design review meetings with design team and manufacturing team for identifying improvements and cost reduction.

Management Reporting

• Ensure timely review of projects along with the team and other involved stakeholders and documenting of MOM & respective action points.
• Provide timely MIS to the core management team to enhance decision making and review performance
