At KPMG Greece, Government & Public Sector is a strategic growth priority. We are expanding our Public Sector IT Advisory practice and are seeking a high-impact Manager who will lead complex transformation initiatives, accelerate market growth, and strengthen client relationships. This role is suited for a consulting professional who combines delivery excellence with business development capabilities and can contribute to shaping and winning high-value public sector engagements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of complex IT and digital transformation projects in the Public Sector.
• Manage project portfolios, ensuring alignment with client objectives, timelines, and financial targets.
• Oversee project governance, quality assurance, and risk management frameworks.
• Guide and develop teams, ensuring high performance and continuous capability building.
• Drive business development initiatives, identifying and capturing opportunities across government entities, public organizations, and funding programs.
• Lead and contribute to end-to-end proposal development (RFI, RFP, tenders), including shaping winning strategies and technical narratives.
• Position KPMG offerings in areas such as digital transformation, IT modernization, data, cloud, and operating model redesign.
• Actively contribute to go-to-market strategies, account planning, and pipeline development.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior stakeholders (public sector leadership, institutional actors).
• Support and lead client engagements from origination to execution and closure.
• Ensure high-quality deliverables, aligned with contractual and regulatory requirements.
• Manage project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and profitability tracking.
• Lead multi-stakeholder environments, including consortium partners, subcontractors, and public authorities.
• Develop strategic client insights and translate them into actionable business opportunities.
• Own and execute account growth plans for selected public sector clients.
• Contribute to the overall growth strategy of the Public Sector practice.

Candidate Profile

• 10+ years of experience in IT Consulting / Advisory, with strong exposure to Public Sector clients.
• Bachelor’s degree in: Computer Science / Engineering, Business Administration / Economics, Public Policy or related field.
• MBA or relevant postgraduate degree will be considered a strong asset.
• Professional certifications (e.g. PM2, PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) are a plus.
• Proven track record in: Managing and delivering complex IT or digital transformation projects, Business development and proposal writing for public sector engagements, Building and managing senior client relationships.
• Strong understanding of: Public procurement frameworks and tendering processes, Full project lifecycle (from opportunity shaping to implementation and acceptance).
• Demonstrated ability to: Translate client needs into structured solutions and commercial proposals, Operate effectively in complex, multi-party environments, Balance commercial targets with delivery excellence.
• Advanced problem-solving and analytical capabilities
• Ability to lead, inspire, and scale teams
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
• High level of ownership and accountability
• Executive-level communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong commercial mindset and growth orientation
