Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Purchase Manager specializing in Technical Procurement and Capital Goods to join our team in Kolkata. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement processes, supplier management, and technical product knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

• Procurement Management:
• Develop and implement procurement strategies for technical goods and capital investments.
• Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing of equipment and materials.
• Ensure timely delivery of goods and services, maintaining optimal inventory levels.
• Supplier Relationship Management:
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conducting thorough assessments of their capabilities and reliability.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
• Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality and service standards are met.
• Market Analysis:
• Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and new products.
• Analyze procurement data and reports to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and finance teams to understand procurement needs and align purchasing strategies.
• Participate in project meetings to provide procurement insights and support project timelines.
• Compliance and Risk Management:
• Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with supplier performance and procurement processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on technical goods or capital equipment.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management.
• Proficient in procurement software and MS Office applications.

Job Type: Full-time
