Manager - Purchase

Role & responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
• Manage procurement of raw materials, bought-out parts, consumables, and services.
• Negotiate prices, contracts, and commercial terms with suppliers.
• Ensure timely material availability to meet production schedules.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with planning and stores teams.
• Develop alternate sources and implement cost reduction initiatives.
• Track supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with quality, production, logistics, and finance teams.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and automotive industry standards.
• Prepare procurement MIS reports, cost-saving reports, and supplier performance reviews.
