Manager Purchasing

About the role

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for managing and controlling all purchasing activities of the restaurant to ensure that all food, beverages, equipment, and operational supplies are purchased at the right quality, quantity, price, and time in accordance with company standards and budget.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all purchasing activities and the Purchasing Team
• Source and select reliable suppliers for food, beverages, equipment, and operational supplies
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions with suppliers
• Ensure all purchases are made according to approved specifications, budgets, and company procedures
• Review and approve Purchase Requests (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO) according to company authorization limits
• Monitor market prices and conduct regular price comparisons to achieve cost efficiency
• Coordinate closely with Kitchen, F&B, Bar, Warehouse, Finance, and Operations regarding purchasing requirements
• Ensure the availability of essential restaurant supplies and prevent shortages that may affect daily operations
• Monitor supplier deliveries to ensure the correct quality, quantity, freshness, and specifications
• Evaluate supplier performance regularly, including price, quality, delivery, and service

About you

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Purchasing/Procurement, preferably in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment
• Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills
• Good knowledge of food, beverage, and restaurant operational supplies
• Good understanding of purchasing, inventory, and cost control procedures
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High integrity, responsible, organized, and detail-oriented
• Able to work under pressure and coordinate with multiple departments
