Manager - Research & Development

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the RD team, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure successful execution of projects.
• Drive the design and development of power electronics products, with a focus on the mechanical aspects, including enclosures, heat sinks, and packaging solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, firmware engineers, and manufacturing engineers, to integrate mechanical designs with electronic components and systems.
• Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses to evaluate design concepts and make informed decisions.
• Oversee prototype development and testing activities, ensuring adherence to design specifications, performance requirements, and industry standards.
• Develop and maintain design documentation, including engineering drawings, bill of materials (BOM), and design validation reports.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in power electronics and mechanical engineering, leveraging this knowledge to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
• Manage relationships with external partners, suppliers, and vendors to support RD activities and secure necessary resources and expertise.
