Manager Retail

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Manager Retail to lead our retail operations with passion and precision in one of our 23 stores in Wigan, St Helens, Preston and Eccleston. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily store activities, motivate and manage a diverse team, and ensure an exceptional customer experience. Your leadership will drive sales growth, maintain high standards of merchandising, and foster a positive environment that encourages teamwork and excellence. Duties

• Lead and supervise retail staff, providing clear direction, coaching, and motivation to achieve sales targets and operational excellence
• Manage daily store operations, including inventory control, merchandising, and customer service standards
• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to boost revenue and enhance customer satisfaction
• Oversee staffing schedules, training programs, and performance evaluations to ensure a highly skilled team
• Maintain organized store environments through efficient time management and administrative oversight
• Communicate effectively with team members, customers, and vendors to foster positive relationships
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and brand standards

Qualifications

• Proven management experience in retail or sales environments with supervisory responsibilities
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide teams toward shared goals
• Excellent communication skills.
• Demonstrated expertise in merchandising, sales management, and customer service excellence
• Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail and time management capabilities
• Prior experience in retail management or supervisory roles is essential; familiarity with administrative tasks is a plus
• Ability to handle phone etiquette professionally while managing multiple priorities effectively

You must be able to drive and have your own transport

Working week is 5 days out of 7 from Sunday to Saturday and must be able to work 6 days when needed to cover sickness and holidays.

Sundays are usually every other week.

Rate of pay is £14.57 per hour plus bonus scheme.

Pay: £14.57 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 48.75 per week
